Compatible Cusp Signs

This article will discuss the various astrological signs and their compatibility. The focus will be on the signs that get along easiest according to their element and cusp.

This is a general compatibility guide. Factors such as other planetary aspects, transits, and other birth charts elements, will not be considered.

This is due to the astronomical number of possible influences and variations based on people's individual natal charts. The best way to consider a relationship is with the two people side by side with their natal chart with all other applicable influences.

Please keep in mind that this guide is for the average person. Aspects that are not included in it can still make a big difference.

What are Cusp Signs?

Cusps are the border that separates each house and zodiac sign and mark the transitional periods from one astrological sign to another. Aries is a Cardinal (or initiating) sign, being the first of the cycle. Taurus is an Earth (or receiving) sign, being second in the cycle and so forth. The cusp is when that change occurs, and at that time, you begin to experience some qualities of both signs.

If you were born on the 20th of March, you would be an Aries-Pisces cusp. You would have the qualities of both signs in your personality, demeanor, and overall perspective on life.

Cusp signs are transitional periods from one astrological sign to another. You can think of them like the "in-between" times of day: dawn, dusk, sunrise, sunset, etc... They are the transition zones between two consecutive astrological signs.

Which Cusp Signs are Compatible?

Compatibility is based on the element and cusp sign that a couple shares. Using the example above, Pisces- Aries Cusp people might be more compatible with Taurus- Cancer Cusp people because they have the same element (Water) and a compatible cusp sign (Cancer).

When thinking of general compatibility, it's best to think of elements getting along. In other words, Fire signs are generally compatible with Fire signs, and Earth signs get along well with other Earth Signs. Below is a list of the elements and their corresponding signs:

Earth Signs – Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn

Water Signs – Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces

Air signs – Gemini, Libra & Aquarius

Fire Signs- Aries ,Leo & Sagittarius

The elements were put in order from most compatible to least compatible. It should be noted that the elements can overlap. There are, of course, other factors that contribute to compatibility and a sign's position on the wheel. However, this general compatibility guide is meant to provide a helpful starting point.

Aries/Taurus Cusp (April 16-22nd)

People born on the Aries/Taurus Cusp tend to have strong personalities. They can also be stubborn and opinionated at times, especially when they feel correct and other people disagree with them.
