Principles of ASTROLOGY
Elements of Zodiac Signs
Fiery Signs- Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
The element of Fire deals with Spirit and the Psychological Function of Intuition. It gives the native warmth, inspiration, excitement, enthusiasm, energy and willpower, ambition and a fiery nature. Their intensity, exuberance and energy levels tend to wear out most people.
They can often deal with conditions of a volatile, intense and passionate nature with little wear and tear. Often they believe it's better to "burn out, than rust out. They are the cheer leaders of the Zodiac and their mottos are "go for it," and "just do it."
Earthy Signs - Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
Airy Signs - Gemini,Libra, Aquarius
Watery Signs -Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces
MAJOR ASPECTS - are considered to be the strongest. They have a greater impact or inherently contain a greater amount of energy, power or force.
MINOR ASPECTS - are considered to be less strong. They have a lesser impact or inherently contain a lesser amount of energy, power or force. Still, a little spark can start a forest fire.
A HARD ASPECT - is found by taking the 360 degrees of the Zodiac, dividing it in two, and then continually dividing it by 2. The resultant degree if : 180 which is called an OPPOSITION; 90 degrees which is called a SQUARE; 45 degrees which is called a SEMI-SQUARE; 22 1/2 degrees is a SEMI-SEMI-SQUARE and the 11-1/4 degree aspect. Hard angles are considered to have more energy and tend to activate, precipitate, catalyze or trigger events.
A SOFT ASPECT - is found by taking the 360 degrees of the Zodiac, dividing it by three, and then continually dividing it by 2. The resultant degrees = 120, a TRINE aspect, 60 degrees is a SEXTILE aspect, 30 degrees is a SEMI-SEXTILE aspect, and there is a 15 degree aspect and is called SEMI-SEMI-SQUARE and a 7 1/2 degree aspect. Soft angles are considered to have a lesser amount of energy, and tend to harmonize, stabilize, vitalize, vivify, and ameliorate the affects of negative or difficult aspects.
